When it was still held at Binion's (and was much smaller), we used to
cut through the poker room during the tournament, no problem. Yeah there
were spectators (standing room only), but for most of us, watching a
poker tournament is about as exciting as watching a golf tournament,
which is to say not exciting at all. I'm still not sure why cable
networks televise poker.

Probably, I would expect some compensation in return. I don't really
enjoy bitching and moaning in Vegas, so I would probably go with the
flow for the most part.

Much of it would depend upon whether Mrs. Andrew was with me. I am
much more easy-going than she is.

Thanks, BOB. I recall the Aladdin deal being posted originally by
someone else (westie?), then I picked it up and ran with it (or ran it
into the ground, some might say). Ditto for Fab Four; I first saw the
show on someone else's recommendation.

I've booked Vegas Club for my next trip as well. I recommend taking
along a print-out of your confirmation showing the daily rate. I
always do that anyway just so there's no question about the booked rate
or room type.

I got that Orleans card, too. On my last stay I just went along with
the $5 resort fee since I had a really good room rate anyway. I've
booked there for my next trip using an email offer for one of their
slot tournaments, 3 nights for $99, tax included. They neglected to
note the $5 fee in the email offer, nor did they mention it when I
called to reserve a room, so I'll be cheerfully waving a copy of that
email offer in the face of the desk clerk if he/she tries to impose the
$5 fee this time.

I would find it disappointing.

Hey Walt, we're staying at the same places. I just may be able to cut
and paste a really great trip report. I want to include a lot of
pictures, so don't let me down.

Cam --

They seem to be directing former Stardust folks to the Orleans and to a
lesser extent, the Gold Coast. I've never placed a bet or dropped a
Quarter in the Orleans but I get frequent offers from it.

No problem, I'll upload a duplicate set of photos for your use.
