Did you check BMI from Washington?

It's also worth checking Continental, AA, Lufthansa, BA, KLM and Air
France, if you haven't already.

Flight connections anywhere would add time to the trip.
London to Manchester is about an hour, isn't it?

I doubt there are a lot of nonstop flights from Washington or Tampa to
Machester. I think it is interesting that the OP didn't care if they
flew from Washington or Tampa, rather than the many other possibilities.
